Liaison Cupping is back with an all new live-streaming focusing on El Salvador regional coffees.

After having experienced and cupped coffees from Guatemala, Honduras and Costa Rica, this new appointment will focus on El Salvador beans.

The Liaison Cupping format was started to shrinken the distance between coffee producers and consumers, at a time were physical come-togethers weren’t really possible. That’s why Liaison Cuppings happen live and involve representatives from origin countries, explaining characteristics and peculiarities of the different coffees.

Upon registration, partecipants receive a kit containing a coffee sample for each producing region, plus instructions on how to prepare and experience the cupping. It’s a way to be together, even at a distance, cup together and exchange thoughts and opinions, like everyone is tasting around the same table.

This next appointment happens November 18th, at 4.30pm and will be live-streamed from Accademia, in connection with representatives of Consejo Salvadoreño del Café (CSC). Carolina Padilla, Executive Director, Jorge Escobar, Chief of Quality Control and Manuel Vindel, Director of the CSC coffee school, will explain more about Salvadoran coffee culture and describe the specific characteristics of each regional coffee.

CSC is El Salvador National Coffee Association that safeguards and promotes Salvadoran coffees.

El Salvador is the smallest Latin-American country. Nevertheless, it counts six producing regions: Alotepec, Apaneca, Cacahatique, Chichontepec, El Balsamo and Tepeca. Each region has its own specific characteristics and Liaison Cupping will give us the chance of getting to know them better.
