La Marzocco and Accademia del Caffè Espresso are pleased to have formed a collaboration with an exemplary local company in the Italian and international olive and olive oil sector.
This is the nearby company Azienda Agricola Buonamici in Fiesole: an eco-sustainable bio-classified producer with which it not only shares a place steeped in history, culture, nature and beauty but also the cherishing of know-how, healthy eating and living – all while offering products and stories that bridge tradition and innovation.
Similar and immersive as the espresso tastings offered by our cultural center for the understanding and diffusion of coffee, a few kilometres away in Pian di San Bartolo, are also the oil tastings by “Cesare Buonamici” (who gave the brand his name)… that means sensorial experiences which offer visitors the opportunity to savour oil from both the organic offering, as well as the conventional oil.
A journey to discover and appreciate:
- the olive variety (“blend” or “monocultivar”)
- the procedure
- the taste
- the heat
The output is of excellent quality, with predominant herbaceous-vegetal olfactory sensations and hints of fresh almond and artichoke in the taste.
The Buonamici family’s bond with their land of origin, of which they are both custodians and symbols, is the natural result of a passion for one’s territory, which translates into constant dedication towards olive cultivation and production of extra virgin olive oil.
We are enthusiastic about networking with a partner who works for the guardianship and promotion of local olive biodiversity and that, just like Accademia does, collaborates on various fronts with local authorities as well as in the field of research and experimentation with academic institutions such as the University of Florence.
